It is said the Lahori people during day time earn money and at night they spend all their earned money on food. Lahore is the main Hub of food, especially the desi food of Lahore and the Local Lahori people are the biggest foodies all over Pakistan. They proudly celebrate food and food is an important part of their lives and culture.
In Lahore, the taste and ideology behind the food vary from other cities but some iconic dishes of this city have travelled across borders to set new standards.

3. MURGH CHOLAY
This is a Punjabi Origin dish and a very popular dish among Lahoris. The combination of Chicken and chickpeas with spices enhance the taste and aroma to the next level. Lahori Breakfast (Nashta) is incomplete without this dish and as a tradition, this dish is served as breakfast with Tandoori Naan. In the rest of the cities, people love to have this dish for lunch or dinner as well.

4. DEGI ROAST
This is actually I would say a gift from Lahore. Whole Chicken is marinated with special spices is then deep-fried. Some unique flavours are used in its preparation and due to its spices, it is also called Nawabi Chargha. It can be served with rice or Naan.

5. HARA MASALA CHOLAY
This dish is a combination of spicy and delicious chickpea gravy with a blended hara masala. This tasty dish is amazing for lunch and dinner with a combination of chapati, roti, and cumin rice.
