Eid-ul-Fitr is also known as Meethi Eid and millions of Muslim families around the world invite friends and relatives over to their houses on the day of Eid to indulge in delicious food and drinks. For some people who host parties on this particular day, the day before can be hectic, as Eid feasts have elaborate dishes and desserts.

In Pakistan Eid 2021 will begin with festivities on the previous night itself, called Chand Raat (Night of the Moon). Usually, Shops and Bazaars are packed as people shop for Eid but this time due to Lockdown restrictions this could not be possible. Other than that, there are a lot of other celebrations we can do within our own premises.

Girls can apply henna/mehndi on their hands and wear colourful bangles. As this festival is also called Sweet Festival, so sweet dishes and sweet food items take the center stage on this colourful day. Dishes like Lachha Seviyan, a roasted Seviyan (vermicelli) in milk is key to this occasion.
